Determining the type of wedding ceremony to celebrate
your marital union is a very personal decision. Whether
you are considering a traditional church ceremony or an
outdoor garden chapel to pledge your vows, Hamilton has
a variety of locations and venues to celebrate the day.
There are many service providers available including
non-denominational ceremonies, spiritual ceremonies, and
even customized ceremonies for a truly unique experience.
The city boasts an extensive collection of beautiful
churches, most notably the Cathedral of Christ the King
located at the west entrance of the city.

The ultimate resource for planning Hamilton weddings
Hamilton and Niagara offer a variety of services for ceremonies. Wedding Belle has
compiled a list of ministers and officiants to help brides plan their Hamilton weddings.
There are several outdoor ceremony sites in Hamilton for your wedding ceremony as
well. Whitehern Historic House & Garden, located in the heart of the city makes a
beautiful location for an outdoor garden wedding. Some outdoor ceremony sites in
Hamilton also offer indoor alternatives in the event of uncooperative weather (but we are
always hoping for the best!) If this is not available, inquire about tent rentals.
If you are planning on a traditional church wedding it is important to look into available
dates as soon as you can. Many churches are booked well in advance especially for
summer weddings. If you are planning a wedding less than six months away and cannot
get the date you were hoping for, ask about Friday evening ceremonies. If you can
afford a bit of flexibility you are giving yourself additional options for getting the
ceremony location you really want.
It is also important to remember that some congregations require that you complete
Marriage preparation classes prior to your wedding. Inquire about vacancies for
upcoming sessions and get registered as soon as possible.
